Preserving tatted flowers
by Lena

I have a small collection of pastel and jewel toned individual tatted flowers made by my husbands deceased grandmother. She was such a wonderful person and the rock of the family. So I have been trying to preserve some of the tatted flowers, in groupings and as singles in resin as charms, earrings, bangles, pins to give to other family members. That way we can have these beautiful little bits of love to wear and enjoy. I wonder if there might be other ways to preserve these flowers. We used to put them on stationery too. Ideas, anyone? |

Lena,
Here's a couple of sealants that I have tried that may work for you. (try on a couple of pieces first that aren't a loss in case it doesn't work) Resin Sealer spray http://www.resinobsession.com/ItemPage/5510/ETI-CastinCraft-Gloss-Resin-Sealer-Spray-760-UPS-Ground-Shipping.html This also works well for giving a final gloss to your resin projects Ultra seal and sealant glue http://www.resinobsession.com/ItemPage/5513/Ultra-Seal-Sealant-and-Glue.html You may also try Elmer's glue or Mod Podge (we don't carry either product). Good luck! |
