One day, a long time ago, Resin Obsession founder Cindy Carter's mom saw a contest advertised on TV where you made up a business plan, flew to California to present it, and if it was good enough--you could sell your product/service on TV. Needing something to fill Cindy's time and she was already obsessed with resin, she made up a kit to present.
Although she did not win the contest, she found great value in the experience. The resin company she used for the kits was so impressed with her efforts that they sent her an entire case of resin. This was more resin than Cindy could use right away, so she thought to sell a bottle or two on eBay. To say she was astonished at just how fast it sold is an understatement. After a little research, she realized there was a real market for resin jewelry making supplies and ResinObsession was born!
Cindy grew the business for more than three years, but found that some events in her personal life were making for challenges in the business.
Begin phase two of Resin Obsession
My name is Katherine Swift, and I began talking to Cindy about the business in the Fall of 2011. We immediately connected over our love of resin and everything it encompasses. I am looking forward to taking over the business and moving things to the next level! I want to make this an all encompassing community of resin jewelry making.
