I love my cats. Quite frankly, I love all cats.
And I love dogs too, but there’s something about cats.
As if the dopamine hit you get by petting them wasn’t enough, there’s something strange about their personalities.
Like anywhere from all UP in ya business to oh, you again?
I’ve got three cats —
One that loves me. 😻
One that looks at me like I’m squatting on his sofa. 🛋
One that’s a zombie apocalypse away from making me her next meal. 🧟♀️
And as many of us can agree, they’re still better friends than most people we know. 🤣
This project has been on my mind for a while, and I’m happy to share with you that we’re donating a portion of our profits to help homeless cats.
I’m calling it our Buy A Kit, Help a Cat campaign.
What does that mean exactly? We’re making donations to organizations that offer
✅ low or no-cost spay/neuter programs
✅ help in finding stray cats a home
✅ relief to pets in disaster areas
Since I can’t save them all, I want to do my part to help as many as I can.
I’ll be updating this article in the future with what we’re doing for the Buy a Kit, Help a Cat campaign. Check back regularly. 😉
Thanks for your help and support.
P.S. When you buy your resin supplies with us, please be sure to tag us on social with your kitty and #BuyAKitHelpACat.

We’re selling our finished jewelry samples to also support our #BuyAKitHelpACat campaign. You can shop them in our Etsy store.
If it were up to me, I’d have so many cats on that couch with me that there wouldn’t be room for anyone else to sit down. Because there are so many kitties out there that need a warm blanket and a few kitty cookies to go with it.
A few years ago, I saw a cat with a missing ear tip. Not like it has been in a fight or an accident, but deliberately cut at a very precise angle.
Research showed this was the work of Operation Catnip, a local non-profit dedicated to spaying and neutering community cats. You know – those cats we all see hanging out by restaurants, neighborhood trashcans, and community parks. The cats that we love but no one takes care of.
It turns out Operation Catnip (along with many other groups across the country) makes it their mission to spay and neuter these cats. And they clip the end of the ear so they can easily recognize it’s one they’ve already cared for.
I love this.
While I can’t take all the cats in…
Husband’s words. Not mine.
What if I could help so there were fewer cats roaming the community?
It’s why, earlier this year, I announced our #BuyAKitHelpACat campaign, where I committed Resin Obsession to help these cats.
What I didn’t know is how much our resin community wanted to help the cats too.
Including resin artist Sara Naumann.
Sara and I met a few years ago and have remained in touch despite the ocean between us. When she shared with me a couple of months ago that her latest resin book was coming out, she offered to share a copy with me.
And at some point, we talked about our love for cats.
At that moment, I had an idea.
I created an eBay charity auction of Sara’s SIGNED latest book and a copy of one of my signed books to benefit Operation Catnip.
And I’m THRILLED to say we were able to raise $85.00 to help community cats.
