I’m trying to get into making 2 part molds of polymer clay charms out of silicone rubber. My first attempt was okay at best. It wasn’t level and it doesn’t fit together perfectly. What is a good material to use as a base? Would I be able to pour the first half, then suspend the charm halfway in? Also, would a silicone ice tray work for a mold box? Sorry for the rapid fire questions. Any help would be excellent!

This is what I recommend for a base: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/mold-making-materials/products/alumilite-synthetic-modeling-clay You will need to put in some clay, then suspend the charm halfway. What are you using for a mold box currently?
