I have a very nice skull mold I originally got for polymer clay. But now, I think it would work well with resin also. The mold, however, is a two part mold – front and back. The question I’m left with is, once cast and cured, what’s the best way to adhere the two halves together? Do I brush on some resin and stick them together, or is there a better way to do it?

I apologize if my questions seem very basic, but I am a beginner, so I’m trying to learn the basics.

Can you link to a picture of the mold?

I don’t have a picture, but it’s a flexible silicone mold. Standard stuff.

You can brush on resin to adhere the two parts together. If you are good with resin, I would suggest the five minute epoxy (the two part stuff you can find in a plunger at a hardware store) so you don’t have to find a way to hold the two pieces together for a long time while it cures.
