Applying hard coat for finished pieces?

      Hello! Resin newbie here. 🙂

      I have been casting pieces with epoxy resin and I have read and experienced first hand that they never truly harden to an impenetrable finish. If I apply enough pressure I can still dent them with my fingernails and such.
      So I am looking for something that I can coat them in that would give the surface a little more hardness and durability, something with a clear gloss finish. Would something like a varnish work? Any kind of recommendation would be awesome. Thanks!

      Hi Heather,

      What you’re describing is typical of some brands of epoxy resin.  You will be able to dent and or scratch it if you try hard enough.

      If you want a very hard casting, I would suggest either casting with the Resin Obsession super clear resin
