Yes, vibrating the mold will help to make the bubbles rise to the surface.

I would also suggest checking the mold several times in the first hour or so after pouring to look for bubbles.

      Hi there

I was wondering if there are any suggestions on removing bubbles from opaque colored resin. Ive watched the video on removing bubbles from a casting, which is great, but doenst help when I cant see them.

I obviously dont care if the bubbles stay in the center of the casting, as you cant see them, but Im worried about them rising while it cures and deforming the surface.

I was wondering if vibrating the mold facilitates getting air bubbles out? Both for this application or just in general. Like if you can gently vibrate mold, almost how they vibrate ice molds when trying to create crystal clear ice as it freezes.

Just a thought! Havent tested it, but it sounds like it might work.

      Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions…?

      Thank you!
