I make charms which are very small and with many curves and bits sticking out. I’ve come to learn that epoxy resin will pull away from edges and protrusions, even when left to thicken before applying.

UV resin coats like a charm, but it always remains a little ‘tacky’. It hardens, but if I handle it it leaves fingerprints and loses its shine, plus it will stick to other charms it touches. I use a lamp made for nails plus a couple days in the sun.

Can anyone recommend an alternative gloss coating? I’m looking for that glassy effect with high durability since it’s for jewellery.

      Hi Jenny,

This is the spray coating I like to use for situations like this: https://shop.resinobsession.com/products/castin-craft-gloss-resin-sealer-spray
