I didn’t see this answered anywhere, so I figured I’d ask. I am just starting in resin, and was wondering what about colorants for resin. I’m assuming that the liquid colors are better for mixing, while the powders like mica and other pigments can’t be easily mixed to create other colors? Which ones are best for beginners?
What about transparency (like the jewel tones), can you get that from a powder or do you have to use a liquid?

I don’t see anything in that article about mixing mica/powder to get other colors like you would with liquid ones and I guess that’s my main question. Are liquids better for mixing and making other colors or do you have to use liquids?

          Hi Jenn,

If you want to make a third color, you will need to use liquid, not powder colors.
