My niece makes “paintings” by dripping candle wax onto a canvas.

She has asked me to help her with some epoxy work and I thought this might be the best place to ask….

What we want to do is to protect the art with a layer of epoxy so that the whites stay white and any potential damage can be mitigated.

We have tried 2 part epoxy that works well in some areas but fails to stick to the wax in others where it either beads up or slides off the wax as a result of gravity.
Flat surfaces are fine, edges are tricky.

Has anyone ever gotten epoxy to stick to wax by brushing the first coat or sprayed something on the wax that will allow the epoxy to adhere?
