      This question comes from Lena:

I’d like to know if I can use resin to create forms, like shaping a crotchet piece into a bowl. Can I just brush it on the crotchet strings while it’s draped over a bowl that is turned upside down?

      Hi Lena,

Yes, you can do it this way, but there are a few things you should know first:

      1. Cover the bowl surface with wax paper. Otherwise, you will adhere the crochet piece to the bowl.
      2. Use a paintbrush or something similar to paint on the resin. If you try to drip it on, I’m worried you will saturate the fibers and cause the resin to pool in the open spaces. You may need to do a couple of coats.
      3. The crochet isn’t going to be flexible after you do this. You likely already know this, but I wanted to be sure.
