      Hi all!
I’m doing a project that requires me to pour epoxy over foam core as part of a mold. But foam core is paper on one side and I’m wondering if the epoxy will stick to it when I try to remove it? Foam core is pretty rigid but I’m wondering if the ‘paper’ part would absorb any epoxy, thus bonding the two permanently.

Question is: Should I use some sort of release agent on the paper or should it be ok because the epoxy won’t penetrate or stick to it anyways?

      Thanks!

      Hi Josh,

Yes, you should use a release agent. This is the one I recommend: https://shop.resinobsession.com/products/ultralease-mold-release-specially-formulated-for-epoxy-resin
