I’ve purchased some Amazing Clear Cast to try out resin for the first time, and not entirely sure if I need a respirator. I’ve looked at the SDS and still not entirely sure. It says to avoid breathing in the vapor, mist, or spray from Part A, but doesn’t directly say I need a respirator. I’ve also heard you don’t need a respirator when handling epoxy resin. Is this true? Also does using a respirator matter if I’m mixing the resin outside?

      Hi Ladybug,

I’m so glad to hear you are taking resin safety seriously. I wish everyone did!

While a respirator is not required, you are never wrong for wearing one. I always wear one for large pours, even if I’m outside.

I talk about the one I wear in this article: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-resin-resin/epoxy-resin-safety-precautions/
