I am a newbie to resin jewelry, having yet to purchase any materials.  I have seen beautiful clear pendants with black silhouettes floating in them.  I wish to make such things.  I am assuming that some sort of thin plastic was printed or stamped and placed on a layer of resin and later covered with another layer.   Probably done within a mold?  Am I on the right track?

A second question.  What is the best method for sealing photo images printed from an inkjet printer to be covered with resin?

Thanks for any help.  I have so may ideas I wish to try.

      Hi Cathy,

I suggest using transparencies.  You can see how they work in resin in this recent tutorial:  https://www.resinobsession.com/Resin-Tutorials/306/Dichroic-glass-lookalike-resin-pendant-tutorial.html

As for sealing your ink jet papers, any clear drying glue should do the trick.  We have this clear drying white glue in our store: https://shop.resinobsession.com/products/ultra-seal-sealant-and-glue

      Good luck!

Thanks for the advice!  I look forward to getting my fingers into resin–figuratively only.

      Regards,
      Cathy
