Hello, I’ve built a walnut river table with black epoxy in the middle. I sanded the project to 800 and finished it with a product called osmo. The wood looks great but the epoxy in the middle has a ring on it where I set a bowl on it. Also it seems to be scratching very easily. Wondering if the osmo is the issue? I plan on sanding out the ring and the scratches… looking for input on what to do after that. Any input is much appreciated

Hi Travis,

While I haven’t used osmo, I don’t think that’s the problem. Some resins, even when fully cured, will still be soft.

What resin did you use?
