Hello, I need to make a mold of wood carvings my Dad made for cookies, and think the yellow Amazing Mold Putty for sale on this site would work (which is food safe since I don’t want to contaminate the original hand-carved mold). But for me to have a copy of his original, I then need to make a mold that I will use for cookies – thinking the blue box of clear resin (food safe) would work and be hard enough to use as my cookie press – if I’m wrong, please correct me.
If these two materials will work, do I need a release on the yellow Mold Putty before pouring in the clear resin? I don’t expect this will be easy, but I’m going for it, then will mail the originals to my brother the end of this month.
      Thank you!

      Hi Gracie,

It sounds like you have put a lot of thought into this. Awesome!

What you have here sounds like a plan that will work. Please share results!
