I need to get a Matt finish on a number of pieces. They are quite intricate, so sanding is not an option. They will be subject to use, so va spray Matt finish is not suitable either.

I was thinking about lightly sandblasting them. Has anyone tried this or does anyone have any suggestions?

      Thank you,

      Jamie

      Hi Jamie,

I’ve got an article here to help with getting a matte finish on resin: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-resin-resin/how-can-i-get-a-matte-or-satin-finish-on-resin-jewelry-and-art/

Thank you. However, the article seems to suggest sanding the pieces, but the intricacies of the parts makes this impractical.

Do you have any other suggestions?

        Hi Jamie,

        I’m afraid I don’t. If it’s a hard-curing resin, I think sandblasting is worth a try.
