I’m new to making tumblers but keep coming in the same problem of everything has a smooth epoxy finish except a half inch at the top and a half inch at the bottom. Those places are rough and bumby every time. Ive used both hang resin method and modge podge to apply glitter…is there a better way to help prevent this from happening? It’s frustrating because I can’t lay decals smoothly along the top.

Are you using tape along the edges?

Im not using tape. I’m taking the epoxy right to the edge and a little over to help with coverage.

Hi Lisa,

Try using painter’s tape on the edges. You can use the resin over it, then pull off that tape once the resin is partially cured.
