I am totally new to using resins and epoxies and need some advice.

Using Pebeo Prisme and Moon paints, poured into a shallow frame, created something that I think would look nice to be used as a hot plate/trivet. Is there a product that can withstand that sort of temperature? Pebeo makes their own resin that I know will not interfere with the paints that I used but I don’t think it will work for what I want. Any help and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi Joanne,

A polyester or polyurethane resin may work for this. Epoxies generally cannot withstand the heat of a hot dish. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer of the product you want to use and asking them if the finished, cured product would be suitable for a hot plate.
