      Hi folks,
I’ve made a few items in cold cast metal- I recalled a tip about powdering the mould with the metal powder before pouring. I was very very impressed with this, everything looks great- BUT I keep getting an issue, where I’m pouring, be it fast or slow, I perhaps 50% of the time get a mark where the metal powder washes away and therefore when I polish it up I get an area that isn’t half as shiny as the rest 🙁
Ive fiddled around with a few ideas, but I’m stumped- the metal I’m using is brass powder, the moulds are silicoln and the resin is polyurethane.
Thanks so much for any thoughts.

Try pouring the resin onto your stirring paddle, then let it roll off the paddle into the mold. You can see what I’m talking about in this article: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-tutorials/blue-sparkle-resin-ring-tutorial
