      Hello everyone!

The project: Small mood light with a picture on one side.

A hollow box containing an LED light with one face of the box containing a 3D printed lithophane (Basically a picture that is 3D printed that shows up with a light source behind it).

The part I am having trouble with is coming up with a way to make the resin diffuse light instead of being clear. I want to avoid making it clear or adding color to it as the LED I am going to use changes color.

To help diffuse the light could I add a little bit of white dye to the resin so that it has more of a “glowing” effect from the colored LED instead of the light shining brightly through it?

Open to any other ideas on how to get it done.

      Hi Leon,

White resin dyes or white resin pigments would be my choice in a project like this. We have several in our store here:
