      This question comes from Oli:

I would like to use the shape of an item as a mold.
Making a mold to duplicate the item is pretty straight forward but can you advise me how I’d make the item itself a mold please?
Is it possible to use a rubber mold to make a rubber mold?
      I’d really appreciate your advice.
      Cheers
      Oli

      Hi Oli,

Yes, you can make a silicone mold of a silicone mold. Coat the silicone mold with a mold release before pouring the silicone, otherwise, you will end up with one big block of silicone. (no one wants that!)

This one in our shop will work: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/tools-and-supplies/products/alumilite-rubber-to-rubber-mold-release?variant=965319173

      Does that answer your question?

It sure does answer my question.

      Thank-you,

      Oli
