I have a 30 plus year old alligator sculpture purchased from Florida. Over the years the sun has done its course on it and now the alligator is starting to break apart. What type of resin or epoxy or other product can be used to put this back together keeping the form and roughness of the pebbles but sticking together strong and won’t yellow from the sun over the years? I have seen numerous resins and epoxies on the market and I know nothing of what they all do differently. Thank you for any guidance.

      Hi David,

Resin is going to yellow from the sun exposure.

What is your alligator made of? I might have some other ideas.

It’s made of little pea gravel tan color stone pebbles about the size of peas. Any ideas would be great and that’s what I’m afraid of using the wrong product and turning yellow or coming apart after getting wet for a period in time.

        Hi David,

I’d expect the epoxy to hold it together, but it will yellow.

Maybe a company that does gravel pool decks can make a suggestion?
