Hi, I have a question. On Pinterest, I’ve seen a post that said you can use plastic chocolate molds (normally found in the baking aisle at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, JoAnns, etc) for resin. And I found another post that said you cannot use those molds because they will melt from the heat of the during resin.

I have a good amount of resin experience, and would have thought that you cannot use the plastic molds. But now I am questioning it. So I am asking here vs. buying a mold and potentially dealing with a mess.

      Anyone know for sure?

Plastic molds made for chocolate candies will not work with resin. It isn’t the right kind of plastic and castings will not release.
