I was wondering if it would be okay to put guitar picks in casting resin.  Will the resin ruin or damage the picks?  I have a collection of them and thought that would be a cool way to display the collection.  If you have any experience or tips on using guitar picks, please let me know.

Hi Whitney,

If the guitar pick is only made of metal or plastic, it will be fine in the resin.  If the guitar pick has any embellishments on it, you may need to seal it in a clear drying glue first.  Ask yourself whether or not getting the pick wet would affect it.  If the answer is yes, then seal.  If the answer is no, you should be fine.
