      This question comes from Karin:

I made a casting of a crystal in an egg form, however the mould split and leaked out … absolutely no way to have saved it.

So i sat for a few hours cutting the resin away with a hack saw and ended up with the crystal surrounded with some resin still.

If I put it into new resin and mould, would the old resin (Epoxy) be absorbed by the new batch?

      Hi Karin,

Yes, you can recast the crystal into a new batch of resin, but the resin surrounding it won’t ‘melt’ into the new resin. You will likely see a line where the new resin meets the old resin surrounding the crystal.
