Using Envirotex Jewelry resin. Learned from your site to coat a feather in clear heavy packing tape to seal around a feather. Will be using E6000 to join encased feather to a wood cufflink (just patented process), and wanted to ask for a good doming effect should I leave an area (say 1/8 inch) around the feather for good resin grab or would you suggest a different size area for grab?

I would expect that to work fine. Make sure the surface is free of any wax or oils that may keep the resin from sticking.
