I wanted to create art on 8mm wooden beads and seal it with a resin layer that’ll make it look almost like glass beads. Is that even possible? How would i do it? Absolute beginner here.

You will want to prop up the beads and apply a thin layer of resin. Know though, that it’s going to drip so you will have to rotate them frequently to even out the resin.
