I want to make a resin shelf , maybe 3’ x 1’ half moon look , 1” thick. Is there a guide to go by on how much weight it will safety hold?

      Hi Jason,

I’m afraid there isn’t a guide for a resin weight load. I talked to a couple of other experts in the office and here is what they said:

“I would be more worried about what they are attaching the shelf to the wall with before something breaks the epoxy. I would be worried about the weight ripping the shelf out of the wall. The epoxy will hold a good amount of weight.”

“There are so many variables here we can’t even guess, there are certain laws of physics regarding structural engineering leverage, support distances, weight distribution, sag, as well as Temperature also how well-aged the material is.”
