I wanted to fully cast a board game, but it’s terrible expensive, the alternative is a piece of mdf or cheap wood, but it doesn’t have the look or feel I want, unlike resin, I was wondering if there’s a way of say having a very thin layer of resin, then having the sheet laid on top, then coated with resin, like a giant version of embedding a dried flower or paper cutting! Thanks 🙂

Sure, you can dome a layer of resin on top. Use the same technique I show in coating a tile: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-tutorials/keepsake-resin-tile-coaster
