Hi all, I started getting into resin last year with making jewellery and have made some nice pieces, however I’m finding that after a pretty short period of wear the surface (usually the side from which the resin is poured) is losing it’s glossiness and becoming quite rough. Is this normal? I’m using epoxy which I’ve read is the go-to for most purposes particularly jewellery. Are there different grades of epoxy?
The thing is I want to turn this into a business making pet Memorials but I don’t feel like I’m producing good enough quality. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. X

Hi Amy, I’m sorry to hear you are having problems. Can you link to a picture of what is happening? That will help me with advice.

Does the resin cure hard? It sounds like maybe it’s too soft and is picking up scratches from normal wear.
