Hi, Not sure if this is a common question but I am only recently getting into casting resin.

I am wanting to suspend coffee beans into a clear resin (inside a cylindrical mold) after which I want to turn a shape on this blank. During the turning I will no doubt expose some of the coffee bean centers which I am guessing will be porous. My question is how (and with what) can I seal the project after I have completed the turning so that I can still sand and polish to get a glass like finish?

      Many Thanks
      Sean

Use CA glue while still on the lathe. Done properly, it creates a glassy smooth finish.
