I’m new to resin, so I expect to make lots of mistakes and have to re-cast in order to learn, but I do try to follow the instructions very carefully. I used Ice Resin to cast some flower petals in oval plastic molds. Each of the pieces had one very small soft spot on the top (bottom, if still in the mold) – the rest of each piece was just fine. What in the world did I do wrong and is there anything I can do to fix it? I allowed 72 hours before de-molding and I tried using sealing spray to no avail. 🙁

This happened to me when I first started casting resin. Sounds like you didn’t mix the resin well enough. Be sure to scrape the sides of your cup and mixing utensil several times during the mixing process. If you don’t, when you scrape out that last little bit of resin out of your cup to use (cause who likes wasting the stuff!) it will cure soft or sticky because it doesn’t have enough hardener mixed with it.
