      Hi!

I have 10 large stained glass windows (33″ x 66″) that have severe damage to them because someone removed portions of the glass (religious symbols). So the windows are missing portions and they also very “floppy” due to the damage. To repair them is just too much money, so either I take them out or come up with a workaround.

Here is a pic (if you wanted to see) https://photos.app.goo.gl/wdv92rvZQGSPJHAz6

My idea is to remove the window and on the back of the window, apply a clear coat epoxy to provide some structural strength to the window. I could also try to fill in the missing portions with stained glass using epoxy as the binder.

However, I heard that epoxy is flexible. Any thoughts on if this would work?

      Thanks!!!
      Phillip

      Hi Phillip,

Unfortunately, resin is not a good use for this project. While it bonds to glass well, it will expand and contract at a different rate than the glass. Either the glass or resin will eventually crack.
