I made a very small 12″ table top with resin in the center. Its tinted blue and gets progressvily lighter as it comes to the top about 5 layers thick. I was a bit shy with the color dye and now I wish I would have started out much darker on the first layer. Could I paint the underside with resin dye to fake a darker translucent color?

Yes, you can do that. A blue acrylic paint will do the trick.
