I’m very new to resins. A friend of mine is a pastel artist – not oil-based pastels, but the ones that are more like chalk. She explains that the pastels are sticks of pure pigment. As such, I’m wondering if I can use some crushed/powdered pastels as a colorant in resin. Have you ever tried that?

      Thank you.

Hi Mark, I haven’t used pastel dust, but I have used sidewalk chalk. The results are here: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-resin-resin/experimenting-with-resin-colors

Thank you, Katherine! I’m going to give it a try – I’ll let you know how it works out–
