I had a family crest 3D printed in resin and need someone to embed the object in Lucite. They tell me if I have the crest painted that it won’t work because the heat from the embedding process will damage the paint. But I know I’ve seen painted objects embedded in Lucite (or some kind of Acrylic). What kind of paint can I use?

Hi Paul,

If you’ve got a test piece, try that first with these steps:

1. Paint and let fully dry. As for the paint, I only have experience using acrylics.
