Hi, I recently purchased EasyCast clear casting epoxy to make jewelry and I’m not sure about what kind of inhalation protection I need. Do I need a respirator, or can I just use like a painting mask? If I do need a respirator, which one should I get?

Hi Leigh,

A respirator is not required when using the super clear resin provided you are working in an area with adequate ventilation. For me personally, I work with the super clear resin where I can have fans circulating the air in the room and open window weather permitting and don’t wear a respirator.

However, you can never be too safe when working with resin. If it would make you more comfortable to wear a respirator, then I encourage you to do so. I talk about the respirator I have in this article: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-resin-resin/epoxy-resin-safety-precautions/.
