GuestI poured resin on a tabletop, used a heat gun to get bubbles out and left to dry. Wrinkles formed on the surface in patches. 48 hours later the places with wrinkles are not cured. All the drips from the table cured, the 2 inches left in the mixing bucket cured. What the heck happened and how do i fix it!?
This was my first resin project and very discouraged as i read and reread the instructions and afraid Ive ruined my moms table now! -

KeymasterHi Amy, there could be a few things going on here. What resin type did you use?
In the meantime, here’s how you can fix sticky resin.

KeymasterHi Amy, I’m not familiar with that resin, but a resin is either a casting resin or a coating resin. I realize the manufacturer may tell you that it’s good for both, but it isn’t. This article explains more: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-frequently-asked-questions/types-of-epoxy/
This is important because when you use a casting resin to coat a surface, weird things like wrinkles can happen.
If it were me, I’d sand the resin surface and recoat with a coating (also known as doming) resin. This is one I’d use: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/resin/resin-obsession-artwork-resin
