      Hi there,

I tried setting dried roses in an 8×8 block. I did a gift layer to position the flowers, waited for 12 hours so they would not float with the next layer. I think poured 4-5 more layers until the flowers were completely covered (about 12 hours between each pour).

When I look from the side of my piece there are clear lines where each pour starts and finishes which ruins the look of the piece from the side.

Please help me to understand how to avoid this next time!

      Thanks you! Hayley

      Hi Hayley,

You need to pour a new layer when the previous layer is in the gel phase. This article explains more: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-frequently-asked-questions/resin-gel-time/
