I was just reading the tutorial on your polymer clay and Resin horoscope pendent …..once completed do you glue on a pin to he back or could you put a bail on the back and wear as a necklace? Thanks Kathy Howington

Kathy I would prob drill a hole and loop leather thru the hole. If you were going to glue a bail to the back, I would keep the back flat as possible. I would not dome the back if you were planning on a bail. If you are planning on adding a pin back, make sure that the back is flat and glue it so as not to show thru transparency. Well your jewelry is all oirzngaed nicely now! I love your ribbon border, I’m in the process of using ribbon in a similar way on some picture frames! My jewelry is actually about the only thing that is oirzngaed in my house! My “need to organize” list is endless..

I have made resin pendants successfully and now I made a polymer clay pendant and tried to put resin on it and the resin is not sticking in spots. I made sure my pendant was clean and tried to apply resin again. Same thing happened again. I just made more clay pendants again and tried the resin and same thing happen again. The pendant is plain with no ink or color on it. Should I be placing mod podge or a glaze on top first?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Margaret

You might try to do resin in layers. The first layer my have tiny parts that separate, but the next coat of resin should take care of any part that was not covered before. I would not use mod podge or glaze on polymer clay before you add the resin. It would interfere with the bond. I have to add I had no problem covering my polymer clay pendant with resin. It went on really smooth.

Does this work for natural terracotta clay instead of polymer clay? Has anyone tried it?
