Ideas for Making Graduation Themed Decorations and Gifts with Resin
You can make resin numbers easily and use them in a wide variety of ways for graduation. From gifts to party ideas and more, I am going to show you how to use resin numbers in unexpected ways. Plus they are so easy to make so you can whip up a bunch and do all of these graduation party ideas if you want!
Resin supplies needed for these graduation ideas:
- – Resin Obsession Super Clear Epoxy Resin
- – Numbers Mold
- – Mold Release Agent
- – Glitter (in the color of your choice)
- – Stir stick
- – Mixing and measuring cups
- – Paper
- – Glue
- – Vases, gift tags, candles, jewelry supplies, and more for creating your project
Step 1: Mix resin
Start by measuring and mixing your resin according to the package directions. Be sure to wear protective gloves as well. Spray your mold with the mold release and allow to dry completely. In the meantime, you can prep your glitter. I find that a folded note card helps me to control the glitter placement.
Step 2: Add resin and glitter to the mold
Pour your mixed resin into the mold cavities of your choice. Then add in glitter! Add way more than you think you need for an amazing effect.
Repeat for as many numbers as you like. Then set aside your mold to cure. Make sure it is level and allow to sit for at least 12 hours.
Step 3: Demold
Pop the numbers out from the mold once cured and you are ready to create some great graduation craft ideas.
Start with this idea for wrapping a gift! Add the numbers with glue to a gift tag and then tie it on to any present.
Perhaps you want a gift for the graduate instead? Add the numbers with jewelry glue onto a wire and attach to a necklace.
You can also use these resin numbers for décor for a graduation party. Use glue to secure numbers to a vase and add flowers for a fun centerpiece.
Make another set and glue to candles for a perfect cake topper!
If you know a graduate this year, be sure to mold some numbers and get started on one or more of these projects. I am sure you can come up with more ways to use them as well so you may want to order extra resin!
