      This question comes from Amy:

I want to make a piece of art with a bunch of colorful globes/balls on metal curly sticks. Should I just stick the metal in there while it’s setting up?

      Hi Amy,

The easy answer is ‘yes’, but here’s what you need to know:

      1. Don’t try to introduce the wire once the resin has started to cure. You will likely introduce bubbles that you won’t be able to get out because the resin will be gooey at this point. Besides, you won’t be able to ‘stop’ the wire in a specific spot while the resin continues to cures.
      2. You can do this if you can rig something to allow the wire to stay suspended in the resin (think hanging from a tightwire) until it fully cures. It will need to stay perfectly still though, otherwise, it won’t be in there securely.
