Hey, so I’ve been doing art on acrylic pieces that I intent to stack on top of each other and then flood with resin to encase it all. Unfortunately, because of the complexity of the art, I cannot do it directly on cast resin layers.

After some tests, the problem I run into is that the acrylic gets kind of “misty” and the edges are clearly visible after casting.

My best guess is that these are micro air bubbles that are being formed. Will casting the resin & acrylic in a pressure chamber make this mistiness disappear? The effect I’m going for is for the acrylic to be completely, or near-completely invisible within the resin.

      Thanks x

      Hi Jake,

Yes, using a pressure pot should eliminate any bubbles.
