Hi- Wondering if anyone has suggestions about how to use resin as a covering for sculpture. The pieces I am working on have thinset/ mosaics as their surface andI’d like to use resin over those materials. I really like the look of the poured resin pieces that I’ve seen using peobe paints. Not sure if what I ‘d like to do is possible given the density of the resin and the 3D shapes, but thought I’d ask!
      Thank you !

      Hi Laura Lyn,

Yes, you can use resin as a coating, but know that it may pool and/or drip. You will need to keep your sculpture ‘moving’ for the first hour or two to minimize this. You can see what I’m talking about in this video where I coat a tumbler with resin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbpJYvDjDnw

You may need to put on several coats to achieve a thicker look.

Saw the tumbler video — thanks for posting it! My pieces are very irregularly shaped… so I need to figure out my strategy!
