Can I “layer” resin colors with foil?

      Im going to be casting for a brooch, I am looking forward to it! I wanted to make the “front” of the cast translucent, and then attach it to aluminum foil so it gets a really neat reflective look. I was thinking of trying to mold clay or Sculpey on the back of the foil to get a layer of opaque white on the back of the brooch. Would I be able to, rather than putting sculpey or clay, layer the foil into the mold while it is curing, and then pour a layer of resin over the foil?

      …does that even make sense?

      Yes, Hannah, you should be able to do that.  Have you seen our candy name tutorial?  It uses techniques similar to what you are describing:
