G’day all,

I would like to cast some reptile water bowls and hides.
The ones I have seen for sale are made to look like fake rocks.
Firstly they are a solid color (not translucent) and secondly they have a clay like almost chalky finish.
Are there additives or coatings to achive this?
Would need to be non toxic and water safe if coating.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Allan,

Your best bet is to cast your pieces, then paint/finish to look the way you want.
