I have noticed that when doing a clear cast over a clear glass or clear acrylic, the resin coats the glass/acrylic so that the image becomes virtually invisible. Is it possible to do a clear cast with resin encapsulating a glass or acrylic object without losing the edges?

That has been my experience as well. I’m not aware of a way to get the edges seen.
