      This question comes from Jeremy:

Hi there. I am looking to do resin countertop, and I need your advice on what resin to use. I want to do the lava / river flow that you showed on youtube. Thanks

      Hi Jeremy,

I like to use the Alumilite Amazing clear cast epoxy resin for countertops. It cures clear, hard and is considered FDA food safe if mixed and cured properly. You can find it in a large quantity in our shop here: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/resin/products/alumilite-amazing-clear-cast-epoxy-resin-32-ounces

We haven’t done a ‘river’ video on youtube. Perhaps you have us confused with someone else? If you can provide a link, I would be happy to take a look and provide some additional recommendations.

That’s helpful, thanks. The river pattern I refer to is when you let the resin flow and the path it takes looks like a river.

Do you know what paint colors or type to use to keep the resin translucent? I want to back light the counter tops 🙂

      Hi Jeremy,

You will want to use transparent resin colors for your river. We have several to choose from in our store: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/colorants/transparent
