Scared to start!!!! I have old patio furniture made of PVC. I want to cover the table tops (white PVC) with colored epoxy resin for a new look. Will the resin bond to pvc? Do I need to prime it first? If so, with what? The tables (3 of them) have a slight texture which will be covered by the resin. Do I need to sand the surface? Just don’t want to wing it and ruin a table. Appreciate any advice you have on bonding resin with PVC. Thank you and Love your site.

I don’t know how well resin will stick to PVC. If you wanted to try, I would make sure the surface is very clean and I would use a primer. I don’t have a primer recommendation, but I do know paints exist for plastic. Even if you get it to stick, I don’t know if the resin will stay on since that type of furniture can be a little flexible. Your resin may pop off!

If you try this, would you mind letting me know how it goes?
